This industry-leading battery system uses a breakthrough technology that is the result of many years of research and development. The Dometic PLB40 has powerful, integrated lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells that provide an energy capacity of 512 Wh. The PLB40 is ideal for powering electric coolers and other 12-volt equipment on your adventures and can cool a Dometic CFX3 45 for up to 53 hours on a single charge. The integrated DC-DC charger offers three user-friendly ways of charging: via the 12-volt connection of the vehicle, a solar panel or mains voltage. The battery's integrated battery management system protects the PLB40 against undervoltage, overvoltage, short circuit and overheating for optimal charging time, performance and storage. With this Power Management System, the Dometic PLB40 has a lifespan that is up to five times longer than the most common lead-acid batteries.
