Buckwheat is partly similar to hemp and has some unique benefits. Buckwheat consists of 10.4% protein, 72.6% carbohydrates and 1.7% fat. Due to the carbohydrates present, buckwheat is a source of energy and is therefore extremely suitable for spring fishing. The triangular shape of buckwheat resembles a zebra mussel, making the bait more likely to be considered “safe and reliable” by carp. Buckwheat is suitable as feed during instant fishing due to its visual attraction in combination with the release of oils.
