KORDA Kable Leadcore Leader Heli Safe Gravel 50cm

The Heli-Safe system is brilliant for use with any helicopter style set-up, whether you're using a conventional rig or a chod. It is now available as a ready-made leader. These 50cm leaders are made from the new tightly woven Kable Leadcore and are ready to use straight out of the package.

The 50cm versions are not only perfect for keeping everything tight on the bottom and protecting the fish from line damage during the fight, but are also really perfect for long distance casting. This leader has excellent anti-tangle properties but is also safe for the fish because it features the Mini Heli-Safe System - a more compact version of the original - and ensures that the lead releases when necessary. It also includes our No-Trace Safety System, which ensures that in the event of your main line breaking, the rig can easily separate from the leader, and each pack contains two spare No-Trace Beads (these can also be purchased separately for if you need more).

The top rubber of the No-Trace Safety System can be slid close to the lead when fishing over clean bottom, or it can be slid all the way to the other end of the leader when fishing on top of weed or other debris, especially when use of chods. The Mini Heli-Safe can be set in different ways depending on the fishing situation, with the standard spring releasing the lead under minimal pressure and ensuring that the lead falls off during a bite, which is perfect when fishing in thick weed. It can also be replaced with the red spring (two supplied) which is designed for waters that are generally clear of obstacles and weed, and where you only want to release the lead if it gets stuck in something.

There is also the option to add a collar (two supplied) which means the lead will never be released, but in the event of a breakage the fish can still be released thanks to the No-Trace Safety System. Using a size 11 QC Ring Swivel allows you to change rigs quickly and easily, and a split loop at one end makes it easy to attach the lead to your main line - the loop-to-loop style is the simplest and fastest. The Kable Heli-Safe Leadcore Leaders are available in Gravel Brown or Weed/Silt, two per pack and are supplied with: 2 x spare No-Trace Beads; 2 x Mini Heli-Safe collars; 2 x Mini Heli-Safe red springs.
